How and why we use it
We use this information to provide sign-in, saved cars, saved searches and requested alerts; to secure and operate the service; to correct listing problems; and to improve the beta. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service where those interests do not override your rights. Optional analytics rely on your consent, which you can change at any time.
Holy Grail’s price comparisons are informational. They do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Services that help us operate Holy Grail
We use service providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics and payments, including Vercel, Render, Resend, PostHog and Stripe. They process information only for the relevant service. Some providers may process information outside the UK using appropriate transfer safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep account, saved-search and saved-car information while it is needed to provide the beta or until you ask us to delete it. Feedback and essential security records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to investigate issues, protect the service and understand the beta. Provider logs follow the retention periods set by the relevant provider.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to how it is used by emailing privacy@thisistheholygrail.com. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Analytics are optional. to accept or decline them. Declining analytics does not affect the service.
Car listings and external sites
Holy Grail brings together information from third-party vehicle listings. Prices, availability and descriptions can change. Opening an original listing takes you to the relevant third-party site, whose own privacy notice then applies.
